Project Completion Announcement: ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 Consultancy for the Independent Court Service of Cyprus

Conquest Business Advisors is proud to announce the successful completion of a high-impact consultancy project in collaboration with the Council of Europe, aimed at strengthening the judicial infrastructure in Cyprus. The project, titled “Provision of Consultancy Services in the areas of ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems and ISO/IEC 27001 – Information Management Systems for the Independent Court Service”, was carried out in the context of enhancing the capacity of the justice system through the effective implementation of reform recommendations and processes.

The objective of the engagement was to support the management and administration of the Courts in Cyprus by aligning their operational frameworks with internationally recognized standards for quality and information security management. The project contributed directly to the overarching initiative “Enhancing the Capacity of the Justice System by an Effective Implementation of the Reform Recommendations and Processes”, and involved the following core deliverables:

  • Gap Analysis
The first phase of the consultancy focused on establishing the AS IS situation and defining clear objectives. This involved comprehensive background research in the relevant operational areas and conducting structured interviews with key stakeholders to gain insight into their current ambitions, existing workflows, infrastructure, and their level of familiarity with management systems. Additionally, the process included a thorough review of existing frameworks, alignment with the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001, as well as reference to best practices, international benchmarks, and relevant tools developed under similar contexts.
  • Documentation of Action Plan
Following the assessment phase, a detailed and strategic Action Plan was documented. This plan identified and prioritized areas for improvement, mapped out activities in a logical sequence, and defined a clear roadmap for implementation. The final Action Plan included specific tasks, accountability assignments, timelines, and resource allocations, ensuring that the proposed changes could be effectively executed and sustained.

This important project, which reinforces the role of management systems in public sector reform and institutional strengthening, was successfully completed on 1st November 2022.

We are honored to have contributed to the modernization of Cyprus’ judicial system and to have partnered with the Council of Europe in this significant initiative to promote efficiency, transparency, and security in the administration of justice.
